How could I have forgotten I had just posted the mushroom soup recipe Jake had fixed for Danny in my last romance novel? What a silly error. So, for this weekend, instead of repeating what I posted last week, how about something else hot and sexy–oyster stew.

It’s easy to make. And served with a green salad, crisp bread and your beverage of choice, makes a delicious dinner for a cool fall evening.

For two servings:

10 ounce jar of oysters

1 bottle clam juice

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 cups half-and-half

pats of butter and smoked paprika as garnish

Empty jar of oysters, bottle of clam juice and Worcestershire sauce into sauce pan. Over medium heat, cook oysters until the edges begin to curl, about 1-2 minutes. Add half-and-half. Bring to just under a boil, stirring frequently. Garnish with a pat of butter and a sprinkle of smoked (or regular) paprika and serve immediately. Preferably in front of a fireplace with someone you love!
