Fair Food Feast Parade ~ Day 4

Teriyaki Chicken Wrap from the new Sweet Al’s truck on the east side of the Horse Arena. They replaced Chewy’s since Chewy’s is now sort of permanently at Clark College. This wrap was very tasty but a touch healthy. Beware!

Today’s Hawaiian Shaved Ice combo: Pineapple and Huckleberry. Both recommended. I had had the Pineapple before but the Huckleberry was a new one. I really liked it! It was like blackberry but better.

When I was working in the milkshake barn (!!!), a few people ordered a Raspberry-Peach combo. I decided to give it a try. It was very good. I liked it better than each flavor by itself. However, Chocolate Cherry remains my favorite.

I saw someone eating these Deep Fried Pickles from the Smokehouse so I decided to give them a try. Last year they were horrible. This year they are better since the pickles are better (they are slices of a big dill pickle instead of pickle chips for burgers). I finished them but they weren’t good enough to get again.

Nerd Rope from the little candy-and-sundries truck next to the Columbian Community Stage. I LOVE NERD ROPE! And the Fair hasn’t had it for a couple of years. Nerd Rope is back! Nerd Rope is back!

Nachos from the Mexican booth in the Food Court. Basic, industrial nachos. They were fine but I should have gotten an interesting hot dog instead.

Old Fashioned Lemonade from the booth just outside the Grandstands. MUCH better than the lemonade sold in the trucks with cotton candy.

My photographer had to go to a meeting tonight so I was left with my lap and the self-timer on my camera. I took 8 photos of me eating Rainbow Ice Dippin’ Dots and this was the best one. My photographer will be back tomorrow. Oh, and the dippin’ dots were fine. Sort of like rainbow sherbet but not quite as good. Eh.
