Fair Food Feast Parade ~ Day 7

I finally had the fortitude today to try something that caught my eye on Opening Day.  Yes, it’s true.  I tried the deep fried bacon wrapped Reese’s peanut butter cup.  See the parade below for my review!

Starting the day with some cold caffeine…and Courtney.

The Mexi-Dog from Dogville. Hot dog with cheese sauce, salsa, sour cream, and jalapenos. It was a little bland, surprisingly, and the toppings kept sliding off. It was OK but I liked the North Carolina BBQ one better.

Very frozen but tasty chocolate covered banana from near the Burger Buggy. It’s how I pretend I am eating healthy at the Fair.

New Hawaiian Shave Ice combo I named “The Jolly Rancher.” Green apple and watermelon. If you like Jolly Rancher candies, I recommend this! Although once the syrup all mixed together at the end, it tasted sort of weird.

Behold the deep fried bacon wrapped Reese’s peanut butter cup…drizzled in chocolate. The bacon was on the inside. Verdict: it wasn’t awful but I wouldn’t have it again. The two flavors didn’t really do anything together. I would choose either bacon or the Reese’s but pass on the combo.  And so far, no Tums!

Corn dog from the Lion’s booth. Nice end to the evening.

I am a Clark County Fair Fanatic and eat all things fried during the glorious 10 days of The Fair. I have lived in Clark County since 2004 and consider it the second-best decision of my life. I am married to a great guy named Rob (first-best decision) who graciously carries my stuff and takes my picture every time I eat something at The Fair. We have two indoor cats and lots of deer, rabbits, and coyotes who are kind enough to stay outside.
