I’m HERE!  And FED!  And HAPPY!

We walked thru the Yellow Gate about an hour ago.  We missed the pancakes — and I was hungry – so we headed straight towards the Grandstands to see if one of my favorite food vendors from last year made a return.  They did!

Back for Year #2 is Get Cheezed.  It’s sort of gourmet-y grilled cheese sandwiches made fresh while you wait.  They had a bit of a slow start last year since they are a little tricky to find (they are near the entrance to the Grandstands, sort of behind the giant snow cone kiosk for the Hawaiian Shave Ice).  I am SO GLAD they are back.  My tummy is happy.  And my fingers are greasy.  Mmmm.

We’re off to wander around and see what else is here now that I can concentrate.  Gotta say, though, my smile was huge when we walked in as I saw cows being washed, heard chickens cackling, and listened to the sing-song-y voices of excited little kids experiencing The Fair.

I’M SO HAPPY!!

I am a Clark County Fair Fanatic and eat all things fried during the glorious 10 days of The Fair. I have lived in Clark County since 2004 and consider it the second-best decision of my life. I am married to a great guy named Rob (first-best decision) who graciously carries my stuff and takes my picture every time I eat something at The Fair. We have two indoor cats and lots of deer, rabbits, and coyotes who are kind enough to stay outside.
