It’s Fair Court Day!

Today is the last day of the Fair.  Boo!!  But let’s not talk about that right now.

Today is also “Fair Court Day.”  It is the day that the new Clark County Equestrian Fair Court is announced.  While there are some activities throughout the day that are for judges only, there fun events the public is welcome to watch.  Then, at 7:00pm the 2015 Fair Court is crowned.

The past couple of years, Rob and I have followed the contestants around on the last day (without being too stalkery, hopefully) and have really enjoyed seeing all that the young women must do to earn their titles.  It’s great fun and also gives a whole new perspective and appreciation for the hard work these young women do.

Fair Court Competition events you can watch today:

3:00pm – 4:15pm   Speeches, Biographies, Modeling, Impromptu questions  (at the Westfield Vancouver mall Kids Stage behind the Milkshake Barn)

5:30pm – 6:30pm   Horsemanship including a rodeo run and a horsemanship pattern (in the Dr. Jack Giesy Horse Arena)

7:00pm   Crowning of the 2015 Fair Court and lots of photo ops (again at Westfield Vancouver mall Kids Stage behind the Milkshake Barn)

I am a Clark County Fair Fanatic and eat all things fried during the glorious 10 days of The Fair. I have lived in Clark County since 2004 and consider it the second-best decision of my life. I am married to a great guy named Rob (first-best decision) who graciously carries my stuff and takes my picture every time I eat something at The Fair. We have two indoor cats and lots of deer, rabbits, and coyotes who are kind enough to stay outside.
