Wear white for Marysville-Pilchuck

It started as a gesture from schools in the Seattle area in response to the shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, but now word is spreading throughout the state.

Fans are being asked to wear something white at this week’s high school football games to show support for local schools as well as the people of Marysville-Pilchuck.

A spot being used on sports radio throughout the state includes this message:

“We wish to show our support to local schools and the people of Marysville-Pilchuck by filling the stands with everyone wearing something white signifying hope and healing.”

The spot continues:

“This includes fans, parents, students, administrators and staff attending any and all football games on Friday and Saturday. So grab anything white. A hat, scarf, a big T-shirt that can fit over your coat. We want the people of Marysville-Pilchuck to know the entire state is behind them.”
