Prep athlete of the week nominees 12/10

Nominees for The Columbian’s prep athlete of the week for the week of Dec. 3-8.

DALLAS GOODPASTER, PRAIRIE WRESTLING: Goodpaster won the 220-pound division at the Larry Brown Invitational in Fife, winning all four matches by fall, including three first-period falls. He pinned Chase Davis of North Mason in 1:36 in the final.

TIM HERGERT, HERITAGE BOYS BASKETBALL: The leading scorer in Clark County last season was at it again last week, averaging 21.7 points a game in three games for the Timberwolves last week.

NICOLE MOSS, HERITAGE GYMNASTICS: Moss won the all-around in a meet with Columbia River and Evergreen with a score of 37.1, winning all four events: vault (9.3), bars (9.2), beam (9.1) and floor (9.5).

ALEXANDER SUK, MOUNTAIN VIEW BOYS SWIMMING: Suk won the high-point award at the Mark Morris Sprint Pentathlon, winning the 25 individual medley, 50 free and 25 buttefly and placing second in the 100 backstroke and 25 breaststroke. His 50 free time of 22.59 seconds qualified him for the state meet.

CORI WOODWARD, PRAIRIE GIRLS BASKETBALL: Woodward averaged 25 points a game in three wins for the Falcons, who improved to 5-0 on the season.
