State volleyball schedule has been posted

The Union Titans and Camas Papermakers will open the first round of the Class 4A state volleyball tournament at 3:15 p.m.* Friday.

Union will face Skyline, while Camas is up against Monroe.

The 4A tournament is in Lacey.

The 3A tourney also in Lacey. Prairie will open state with an 8 a.m. match against Mercer Island. Bi-district champion Columbia River has an 11:45 a.m.* match against Seattle Prep.

In the 1A tournament, held in Yakima, King’s Way Christian has an 8 a.m. match against Nooksack Valley. Woodland also plays at 8 a.m., against Granger.

• All the 8 a.m. matches should start on time. Those are the first matches of the day. However, if past history is any indication, be prepared for later matches to be delayed. So if your team has a 3:15 starting time, remember, it could start anywhere from 3:15 to, say, 9 p.m. (OK, slight exaggeration. But you get my point.)
