Prep football player of the week nominees, Week 8

Nominees for The Columbian’s high school football player of the week for Week 8 of the season. To avoid any teammates canceling each other out in the voting, nominees are limited to one per team.

JORDAN BERNI, SKYVIEW: The quarterback completed 11 of 13 passes for 206 yards and four touchdowns and added a touchdown run in the Storm’s playoff-clinching win over Battle Ground.

JARED HUDDLESTON, LA CENTER: Huddleston rushed for 163 yards on 21 carries and scored three touchdowns in La Center’s comeback win over Toledo.

AUSTEN JOHNSON, HOCKINSON: Johnson rushed for 102 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns, caught three passes for 88 yards and even has a 27-yard pass completion in the Hawks’ win at Aberdeen.

MICHAEL KNOX, RIDGEFIELD: Knox rushed for 170 yards on 17 carries and four touchdowns and even caught a 16-yard TD reception in the Spudders’ win over R.A. Long.

LEON SIOFELE, UNION: Siofele rushed for 101 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchowns in the Titans’ playoff-clinching win over Evergreen.
