Prep football player of the week nominees, Week 7

Nominees for The Columbian’s high school football player of the week for Week 7 of the season. To avoid any teammates canceling each other out in the voting, nominees are limited to one per team.

CLARK BRYANT, COLUMBIA RIVER: Bryant caught five passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns, including a 35-yard TD reception to win the game with 12 seconds left against Prairie.

ZACH EAGLE, CAMAS: Eagle had 10 catches for 121 yards and one touchdown on offense. On defense, he added an interception and a fumble recovery in a 22-0 win over Union.

KEVIN HAYNES, BATTLE GROUND: Haynes rushed for 114 yards on 25 carries and scored the Tigers’ lone touchdown on a 70-yard return of a blocked field goal in a 12-7 loss to Heritage.

AUSTIN MACE, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Mace rushed for 233 yards on 13 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Thunder’s 50-0 win over Hudson’s Bay.

ELI WHITMIRE, WOODLAND: Whitmire rushed for 85 yards on eight carries, scored four touchdowns and even added a 21-yard pass in the Beavers’ 44-0 win over Stevenson.
