Prep fall athlete of the week nominees 10/8

Nominees for The Columbian’s fall sports athlete of the week for the week of Oct. 1-6.

KAITLYN BIGLEY, LA CENTER GIRLS SOCCER: Bigley scored the Wildcats’ first two goals in both wins over Seton Catholic and Toledo as the Wildcats improved to 10-0 in the Trico League.

COLBY GILBERT, SKYVIEW BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: A quick change in venue did not distract Colbert, as he ran to a 50-second victory in a 4A Greater St. Helens League meet with Camas.

BRIAN HUMPHREYS, CAMAS BOYS GOLF: Humphreys posted a pair of sub-40 rounds last week, including a 3-under-par 33 at Camas Meadows.

ANNA PANEBIANCO, CAMAS GIRLS SWIMMING: Panebianco won two individual events — the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle — and two relay events at the Kelso Invitational.

SAMMY SAVAGE, UNION VOLLEYBALL: Savage had 27 assists, four digs and three aces against Battle Ground and 28 assists, five digs and one ace against Evergreen.
