Week 3 football player of the week nominees

Nominees for The Columbian’s high school football player of the week for Week 3 of the season.

Voting will continue through 8 p.m. on Tuesday and be announced in Wednesday’s edition of The Columbian.

Jay Becker, King’s Way Christian: Becker completed 10 of 15 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 110 yards on 10 carries and two TDs in the Knights’ win over Rainier Christian.

Jordan Berni, Skyview: Berni completed 13 of 19 passes for 203 yards and two TDs and rushed for 78 yards on nine carries and one TD in the Storm’s win over Lakes.

Reilly Hennessey, Camas: Hennessey completed 20 of 26 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in the Papermakers’ win over Auburn-Mountainview.

Tim Hergert, Heritage: Hergert caught seven passes for 133 yards and one touchdown, and he returned a kickoff 98 yards for another touchdown in the Timberwolves’ loss to Enumclaw.

Treve’ Ensley, Union: Ensley rushed for 126 yards on six carries including a key 69-yard TD run in the fourth quarter in the Titans’ win over Peninsula. He also caught three passes for 25 yards.
