Week 2 prep football player of the week nominees

Nominees for The Columbian’s high school football player of the week for Week 2 of the season.

Voting will continue through 8 p.m. on Tuesday and be announced in Wednesday’s edition of The Columbian.

Nathan Beasley, Camas: Beasley rushed for 85 yards on 15 carries and caught three passes for 85 yards and one touchdown in the Papermakers’ 31-7 win over Canby.

Jess Krahn, Hockinson: Krahn completed 8 of 13 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns in the Hawks’ 60-7 over Fort Vancouver.

E’Lon Mack, Heritage: Mack caught three passes for 172 yards, including a 92-yard TD pass play, and he returned a kickoff 89 yards for another touchdown in Heritage’s 49-46 loss to Kelso.

Jabari Marshall, Skyview: Marshall rushed for 101 yards on 14 carries, six of which ended with Marshall scoring a touchdown in the Storm’s 42-0 win over Columbia River.

Eli Whitmire, Woodland: Whitmire rushed for 184 yards on 22 carries and scored three touchdowns in the Beavers’ 28-20 Trico League win over Castle Rock.
