Wednesday (3-28) Prep Highlights

SOFTBALL

Columbia River 4, Kelso 3: Natalie Luther hit a home run and Katelyn Costanza got the pitching victory as the Chieftains topped the defending 3A GSHL champion.

Union 10, Heritage 4: The Titans have opened 2-0 in 4A GSHL play. Courtney Huss and Parker Bonife each drove in three runs for Union.

Skyview 5, Battle Ground 4: Freshman Emily Garcia hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth to put the Storm ahead. Michelle Brincefield struck out nine to get the win.

Camas 12, Hudson’s Bay 2: Sarah Nidick was a force on offense and defense. She struck out 11 and went 3 for 3 with a home run and drove in five runs.

BASEBALL:

Skyview 3, Evergreen 0: Adam Walker and Connor Webb combined on the five-hit shutout for the Storm.

Camas 8, Union 4: Reilly Hennessey drove in four runs as Camas won this non-league rivalry.

TRACK AND FIELD:

Battle Ground’s Jake Blackman won the 110 hurdles, the 300 hurdles, and the shot put in a 91-54 boys team win over Evergreen.

Evergreen’s Sydney Haynes won the 100 hurdles, the 300 hurdles, and the high jump in an 89-65 girls team win over Battle Ground.

Stevenson’s Jen Rathgeber won the 100 meters, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and the long jump in a meet at Kalama.
