Monday (3/26) Prep Highlights (updated 9:13 p.m.)

SOFTBALL

PRAIRIE 12, COLUMBIA RIVER 11, 9 innings

Taylor Bussey’s two-run double capped a five-run bottom of the ninth inning, leading the Falcons to a wild victory in a 3A GSHL opener.

Sarah Landstrom, Nicole O’Haver, and Rylie Nance each drove in a run for the Falcons in the winning rally.

Julie Jahn went 5 for 6 with a double for Columbia River. The Chieftains scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, then scored four — using international tiebreaker rule — in the top of the ninth.

The two teams combined for 36 hits.

HERITAGE 2, SKYVIEW 1, 8 innings: Allie White struck out six in the complete game and Dalaney Tuholski drove in the game-winning run for the Timberwolves.

UNION 6, EVERGREEN 1: Emma Alphonso got the pitching win and also hit a home run to lead the Titans. Parker Bonife went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs.

CAMAS 13, MOUNTAIN VIEW 2: Harli Hubbard struck out eight and also hit a home run for the Papermakers. Teammate Erin Tauscher went 2 for 3 with a homer and drove in four runs.

WASHOUGAL 23, FORT VANCOUVER 7: Mackenzie Helland had five of Washougal’s 26 hits, and Madisen Baldwin had three doubles and drove in four runs.

WOODLAND 4, BATTLE GROUND 3: Rikki Hall hit a two-run single to cap a three-run seventh inning for the Beavers.

BASEBALL

CAMAS 1, HERITAGE 0: Nate Lauritzen, Gabe Heredia, Luke Minder, and Tyler Hallead combined on a two-hit shutout in the non-league victory.

BATTLE GROUND 8, UNION 2: Lukas Walker pitched into the seventh inning, striking out six in the 4A GSHL victory. The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning to improve to 2-0 in league play.
