Friday’s prep highlights:

Baseball

Evergreen 4, Hudson’s Bay 2: Austin Hadley gave up one run over six innings and added a run-scoring single for the Plainsmen (1-1). Zach Smith went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored. Buck Hale was 3 for 3 with a home run for Bay (0-1).

Mountain View 9, Battle Ground 2: Ryan Johnson went 3 for 3 with two RBI and Justin Rinta was 2 for 2 with a triple and 3 RBI to power the Thunder (1-0).

Fort Vancouver 6, La Center 4: Anthony Gardner pitched two solid innings and went 3 for 3 with three runs to lead the Trappers

Softball

Heritage 2, Columbia River 1: Allie White and Bridget Sorenson drove home runs as the Timberwolves scored in the top of the sixth and seventh innings to win. White pitched Heritage (1-0) to the win, striking out five. Bianca Hancock homered for River’s lone run in the sixth.

Skyview 7, Mountain View 0: Michelle Brincefield threw a three-hit shutout and Jessica Schwab went 2 for 4 with double and three RBI for the Storm. Brincefield struck out nine.

Camas 9, Evergreen 0: Harli Hubbard struck out 11 batters en route to throwing a two-hit shutout for the Papermakers (1-0). She was also 2 for 3 with an RBI. Amee Aarhus was 4 for 4 with a home run, double and two RBI.

Hudson’s Bay 7, Battle Ground 6: The Eagles scored five runs in the fifth inning, then fended off a seventh-inning rally by Battle Ground. Dusti Blair was 2 for 4 with a run and 4 RBI for the Eagles. Chelsea Aguigui hit a home run for Battle Ground.

La Center 28, Portland Christian 1: Emily Norris went 3 for 5 with a triple and four RBI and Samantha Norris was 3 for 6 with 4 RBI as the Wildcats tallied a 14-run fifth inning.

Boys soccer

Fort Vancouver 3, Woodland 1: Jacob Ulrey scored goals on assists from Christian Fernandez and Felipe Avila to lead the Trappers.

Mountain View 1, Heritage 0: Michael Beauchamp scored the lone goal on an assist from Peter Prescott in the first half.

Skyview 5, Columbia River 0: Carter Johnson scored two goals and Cole Howard had three assists for the Storm.

Camas 2, Evergreen 1: Josiah Pacheco scored a goal off an assist from Bryce Ponder in the second half to lift the Papermakers.
