Jonathan Warner recruiting update

Jonathan Warner has started to pop up on the recruiting radar once news broke last week that Penn State had made an offer to the Camas wide receiver.

According to the Penn State fan website BlueWhiteIllustrated.com, Warner was expected to make an official visit to the Penn State campus this weekend.

Warner said he had planned to travel to Penn State with his father, former Penn State All-American Curt Warner, on Wednesday and spend the weekend in Happy Valley.

“I’m not sure what other recruits are going to be there or if I’ll be staying with any players,” Warner told BlueWhiteIllustrated.com. “I’m just looking forward to it. I know it will be a great time no matter what.”

Warner said he has picked up interest in programs like Air Force, Boise State, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Washington and Washington State, but has received no other offers expect from the Nittany Lions.

“Penn State was pretty much my first offer,” he said. “Now since people have learned about this, I do feel like a few colleges may start calling me soon. I’ve already had a few schools call me. Pittsburgh was one that reached out to me. There may be a few more offers coming, but Penn State is going to be pretty hard to match up against.”
