Players to watch: QB David Wood (66-102-1470 passing, 20 TDs); RB Levonte Littlejohn (69-769 rushing, 12 TDs); RB Cedric Dozier (16-158 rushing, 3 TDs; 17-377 receiving 3 TDs); WR Ma’ne Manaea (17-301 receiving, 2 TDs); OL Zach Banner.

Notes: The Lancers’ roster is a Who’s Who of college recruits. Manaea has made a verbal commitment to Colorado. Dozier has committed to California. … The blue-chip recruit is Banner (6-9, 310 pounds), who has made visits to Michigan, Oklahoma and Notre Dame. … Lakes is ranked No. 2 by the Seattle Times. … Lakes scored 33 points or more in every game, 56 or more in seven games. … The Lancers’ closest game this season is a 33-13 win over Peninsula of Gig Harbor on Sept. 30. … Lakes has one common opponent with Mountain View. Players to watch: QB Riley O’Dell (33-71-835 passing, 8 TDs); RB Michael Rivers 103-836 rushing, 14 TDs; RB Eddie Richardson (81-467 rushing, 5 TDs).

Notes: Mountain View has averaged 45 points in its eight wins, but only 11 in its two losses. … Rivers has been the Thunder’s first option in the running game. He rushed for 129 yards last week, and has rushed for four 100-games in the last four weeks. … The Thunder are seeking their first state-tournament win since reaching the 4A semifinals in 2002.

Bottom line: Lakes is REALLY good. The Lancers have the size up front and the speed outside to give Mountain View’s running game problems. QB O’Dell may be a key player for the Thunder.
