King's Way volleyball out of state tourney?
As of Monday evening, the King’s Way Christian volleyball team is not listed on the Class 1B state volleyball bracket.
The Knights beat cross-town rival Seton Catholic in the district championship on Saturday to seemingly clinch the top seed to the state tournament. Seton Catholic was to go as the No. 2 seed.
However, in a revised bracket updated Monday, King’s Way is not listed.
Sources have told The Columbian that King’s Way exceeded the match limit for a high school volleyball regular season. We also have been told that King’s Way will appeal the ruling Tuesday. The Columbian hopes to have an update in Wednesday’s edition.
