Notes: The Rams from Lacey last made the state playoffs in 2009 as a Class 3A school. … North Thurston comes in on a five-game winning streak. … Rams have scored at least 36 points in eight of nine games this season. … Lone loss was 43-36 setback to second-ranked Tumwater on Sept. 23. … QB Ben Broeker has thrown a school-record 22 TD passes this season. Landon Rushton has caught 10 TD passes. … The Rams forced six turnovers from W.F. West.

Notes: The Beavers have won four of their last five to secure a winning regular season. … Woodland has not won a district playoff game since 2005, dropping their last four. … In last week’s soggy conditions, the Beavers controlled the ball on the ground, giving it to Whitmire 33 times for 193 yards. … The Beavers share a common opponent with North Thurston: Black Hills. North Thurston beat the Wolves 35-14 on Oct. 14, while the Beavers beat the Wolves 28-12 last week.
Bottom line: Woodland rebounded nicely to win a non-league game last week. This week’s matchup is a much tougher challenge.
