Mountain View (5-2, 3-1): Mountain View has posted back-to-back shutouts — a 47-0 win over Fort Vancouver and 45-0 over Kelso. … Michael Rivers rushed for 122 yards on 12 carries and 3 TDs vs. Kelso. … Rivers has rushed for 445 yards and 8 TDs on the season. … The Thunder need win in Week 8 vs. Bay and Week 9 vs. Columbia River to secure the 3A GSHL’s No. 2 seed to the 3A state preliminary round. … The 3A GSHL No. 2 team will face the South Puget Sound’s No. 3 team, which the Tacoma News-Tribune projects as Auburn Mountainview.
