Last meeting: Kelso won 21-13 on Oct. 8, 2010 at McKenzie Stadium

Last week: Evergreen lost to Battle Ground 54-13; Kelso beat Fort Vancouver 41-6.

Evergreen (0-5): Evergreen is riding a nine-game losing streak. … Anthony Thomas had a 25-yard TD pass to Trent Foster in the first quarter last week against Battle Ground. … Other than that, Thomas was 1 for 4 for 9 yards an an interception. … Ryan Wilson’s 80-yard kickoff return for a TD brought the Plainsmen with 21-13 of Battle Ground. The Tigers pulled away in the second half.

Kelso (2-3): Kelso scored more points in the first three quarters last week against Fort (35) than it had in its four previous games (31). … RB Slate Miller rushed for 92 yards and three TDs last week. … Kelso completed 10 of 13 passes for 140 yards vs. Fort.

Bottom line: Evergreen appeared to make progress despite the losses. But the Plainsmen took a step back in the second half vs. Battle Ground.
