Corral set to sign with Washington

Heather Corral is staying close to home and keeping the family name in the Pac-12.

Corral, a senior at Prairie, told University of Washington women’s basketball coaches Monday morning that she intends to sign with the Huskies during the November signing period.

Heather’s father, Art Corral, confirmed that Heather said yes to UW and also called her other two finalists — Colorado and Gonzaga — to break the news.

Corral is set to become the second member of her family to be a member of the conference. Older sister Ashley is a senior at the University of Southern California.
