Last week: Hockinson lost to Columbia River 36-22; Lakeside beat Port Townsend 47-24.

Hockinson (2-2): The Hawks hope to get QB Jess Krahn back after suffering a concussion two weeks ago against Prairie. … Also RB Josiah Niemela, who leads the Hawks with 307 yards, did not play against River. … Even without some key players, Hockinson led 16-14 in the fourth quarter against River.

Lakeside (2-2): Lakeside went 2-8 playing in a mixed-classification independent schedule in 2010. The Lions are playing an independent schedule again this season before returning to the 3A Metro League in 2012. … Lakeside’s two wins came over 1A teams (Port Townsed and Vashon Island) Losses have come to 1A King’s and 3A Bishop Blanchet. ..
