Last meeting: Washougal won 24-8 on Sept. 24, 2010 in Clatskanie, Ore.

Last week: Washougal beat Fort Vancouver; Clatskanie beat Amity 41-0.

Clatskanie (2-1): Clatskanie has had an up-and-down season. Two lopsided wins wrapped around a 65-13 loss to Santiam Christian. … The Tigers finished 7-3 last year and lost in the first round of the Oregon 3A state tournament. … QB Tyler Puzey complete 16 of 21 passes for 219 yards and 3 TDs vs. Amity. .. Storm Engen rushed for 89 yards and 2 TDs and caught five passes for 110 yards and 2 TDs.

Washougal (3-0): The Panthers are off to a 3-0 start and haven’t even had to break out all of their weapons yet. … QB Colton Sullivan is 14 of 17 passing for 240 yards and two TDs, passing only in limited situations. … That’s because the running game has been eating up yards. … Austin Tofell has 272 yards on 31 carries and the versatile Sam O’Hara had 270 yards on 26 carries.

Bottom line: Clatskanie opened last year with big wins vs. Seaside and Amtiy, then lost at home to Washougal. And this year’s Washougal squad is stronger and at home.
