Last meeting: Stevenson won 27-13 on Sept. 24, 2010 in Stevenson.

Last week: Stevenson lost to Ilwaco 30-0; Castle Rock lost to Kalama 34-27.

Stevenson (1-2, 0-1 Trico): The young Bulldogs continue to improve. … QB Brandon Van Pelt completed 12 of 29 passes for 212 yards. … Casey Smith caught 7 passes for 147 yards. … But the Bulldogs struggled to move the ball on the ground.

Castle Rock (1-2, 0-1 Trico): The Rockets opened with 34-0 win at Rochester before losing 45-0 to Montesano. … Castle Rock rallied from 14-points down in the second half against Kalama on touchdowns via a kickoff return and blocked punt. … But Kalama picked off a pass with 20 seconds left and returned it 58 yards for the winning TD.

Bottom line: Both teams come into this game with plenty of question marks. But Castle Rock is home.
