Last meeting: Hudson’s Bay won 35-14 on Sept. 24, 2010 in Battle Ground.

Last week: Battle Ground beat Fort Vancouver xx-x; Hudson’s Bay lost to Kelso 12-6.

Battle Ground (2-1): Battle Ground has had three different leading rushers in three games. Last week against Fort, Tyler Bergeron led the way with 150 yards on 12 carries. He leads the team with 170 yards on the season. … QB Ian Humphrey has been leading the offense with 482 yards passing and 4 TDs. … On defense, the Tigers have not allowed a foe to score more than 16 points in a game this season.

Hudson’s Bay (0-3): Hudson’s Bay has yet to score more than 9 points in a game this season. … The Eagles have passed for just 45 yards total this season … Richard Carter IV had a big game against Kelso last week, gaining 162 yards. He is Bay’s leading rusher with 241 yards on 32 carries and one TD.

Bottom line: Battle Ground’s stingy defense plus Bay’s struggles on offense don’t make a good combination for the Eagles.
