Camas' White in state soccer player of year in 3A

Camas forward Drew White was voted the most valuable player in the state at Class 3A as the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association announced its all-state teams for 2010-11.

White, who led the Papermakers to the Class 3A state championship last spring with a win over Bainbridge, was joined on the all-state first team by Camas teammate Chris Miller, a midfielder, as well as Hudson’s Bay midfielder Isaiah Escobedo.

Camas defender Michael Koceja and goalkeeper Zach Anderson were on the 3A second-team, while Camas midfielder Parker Roland earned honorable mention.

The Hockinson boys soccer team, which placed fourth in Class 2A last spring, had four players earn all-state honors. Forward Cotter Hamilton and midfielder Langdon Roscoe earned first-team spots. Jarren Parthermer, a forward, made the second team, while defender Brett Sparks earned honorable mention.

In Class 4A, Skyview goalkeeper Keenan Townsend made the all-state second-team.

Ridgefield had three players make the Class 1A all-state first team: midfielders Travis Heim and Tanner Konkright and defender Miller Grening. Midfiedler Cameron Goddard made the second team, along with Seton Catholic defender Shawn Powell.

White Salmon’s Mark Lovrin was the Class 1A MVP.
