When, where: 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McKenzie Stadium

Last meeting: Union won 34-14 at Westview on Sept. 17, 2010.

Last week: Union beat Enumclaw 49-7; Westview loss to Lake Oswego 35-3.

Westview (0-2): QB C.J. Garcia threw for 342 yards and 3 TDs as Westview built a 24-7 lead over Grant in Week 1. But Grant rallied to win 34-31. … The Wildcats could get little going against Lake Oswego last week. … Westview went 4-7 last season, after making the Oregon 6A state playoffs with a 3-6 record.

Union (1-1): Gabe Rego is the Titans’ leading rushing, gaining 144 yards on 13 carries and 4 TDs against Enumclaw last week as an injury fill-in. … Kaben Humphrey had passed for 350 yards and 3 TDs in two games this season …. Tanner Nelson is the leading receiver with 6 catches for 137 yards.

Bottom line: Union showed off its defense and its depth against Enumclaw. That ought to be enough to get the Titans past Westview.
