Last week: Stevenson beat Corbett (Ore.) 13-0; Ilwaco beat Manson 28-0.

Stevenson (1-1): Defense led coach David Waimre to his first win as Stevenson’s coach last week. … Karl Bell rushed for 128 yards on 23 carries, and Zack Irwin added 69 yards rushing … WR Casey Smith caught three passes for 83 yards, but QB Brandon Van Pelt completed on 4 of 12 passes with two interceptions.

Ilwaco (1-1): Like Stevenson, Ilwaco used solid defense to post its first win of the season last week. … Josh Berteaux rushed for 148 yards on 24 carries for the Fishermen in a win over Manson. … Manson was held to 73 yards of total offense. … The win over Manson snapped a nine-game losing streak that dated back to last year’s loss to Stevenson.
