Last week: Hudson’s Bay lost to R.A. Long 21-0; Kelso lost to Columbia River 40-12.

Hudson’s Bay (0-2, 0-0 3A GSHL): The Eagles have struggled to find a groove on offense so far this season. QB Emilio Alcantar is Bay’s leading rusher with 129 yards on 18 carries. … The Eagles have only 19 yards passing in two games. … RB Jamile Sipaia has 96 yards rushing, and RB Richard Carter has 79.

Kelso (0-2, 0-0 3A GSHL): Kelso also has struggled on offense. The Hilanders were shut out in the second half in a Week 1 loss to Mark Morris, and then were shut out for three quarters last week against Columbia River … Both TDs last week for Kelso came after River had built a 40-0 lead. … Kelso had only 51 yards of offense and two first downs in the first half vs. River. … Kelso managed only two first downs in the second half against Mark Morris.

Bottom line: Neither one of these teams look to pass much, so this game will be won in the trenches. That usually benefits Kelso.
