Week 1 football preview: Stevenson vs. Tenino

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Tenino High School

Last meeting: Stevenson won 19-0 in Week 1 of 2010.

Stevenson: The Bulldogs are coming off their best season in school history. Stevenson went 9-2 and won a 1A district playoff game at Rainier 39-21. … Stevenson lost in the 1A state playoffs to Meridian of Bellingham 59-21. … Stevenson has won its last two season openers against Tenino after losing its previous three. … But the Bulldogs start over at many key positions, including QB where all-leaguer Zach Castro graduated.

Tenino: The Beavers were 4-6 last year, getting their most wins since 2007. … Youth and inexperience are areas of weakness for this year’s team … Junior QB Devante Harris rushed for 915 yards and passed for 524 last season … Former Central Washington head coach Mike Dunbar in the new offensive coordinator.
