Hudson’s Bay: Senior linemen Mike Devera and Josh Ingebretson and lineback Josh Friedli hope to anchor a solid run defense and the start of the turnaround at Bay. … The Eagles have a new coach in Mike Funderberg, Bay’s third coach in three years. … The Eagles have not had a winning season since 2002, and only once won as many as four games in a season during the span. … Senior Emilio Alcantar makes the move from WR to QB. … Bay finished 2-7 last season.

Washougal: The Panthers got their season off to a good start last season on a last-minute TD by Sam O’Hara to beat Bay … Washougal returns most of its starters from a 2010 team that went 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the 2A GSHL. … Colton Sullivan returns as QB, and O’Hara is back as a threat running out of the backfield or catch a pass from Sullivan.
