Camas’ Williams set for MRI
Camas basketball standout Melissa Williams is hoping that her knee injury she sustained Friday is not serious.
She said she is scheduled to undergo an MRI today, and she expects to get the results later this week.
Over the weekend, she was optimistic that it was a ligament strain, not a tear. Williams, The Columbian’s All-Region girls basketball player of the year last season, was hurt in Friday’s loss to Mountain View.
Williams, who has signed with Eastern Washington University, blocked a shot but fell to the floor late in the third quarter. She was down for a couple of minutes and did not return to the game.
