Northwest Shootout this weekend

The Les Schwab Tires Northwest Shootout is Saturday at the Chiles Center in Portland.

The game features some of the best senior basketball players from Washington against the Oregon senior all-stars. The girls game begins at 4 p.m., with the boys game to follow.

Joe Potter of Ridgefield will coach the Washington girls squad. Bill Bakamus of Mark Morris will coach the Washington boys. 

There are no Clark County athletes on the rosters. Kelso’s Carly Perkins will represent the Greater St. Helens League.

Former Clark County resident Stephen Madison, who now lives in Portland, will be playing for the Oregon team.

Admission is $10 for reserved seating, $7 for general admission, $5 for students.
