Coffee boost

Nearly half of all U.S. workers claim they are less productive without a cup of Joe.

And of those who need coffee to get through their day, 61 percent say they drink two cups or more every day.

Those are among the findings from the annual survey conducted by Dunkin’ Donuts and CareerBuilder.

And — no surprise to any reporter I’ve ever met – editors and writers made the list, coming in at No. 4 behind scientist/lab technician, marketing/public relations professional and education administrator.

Editors/writers are also among the group most likely to add flavor to their coffee, joined by government professionals and teachers (I’m a fan of hazelnut syrup or Coffee-mate’s vanilla nut creamer).
