Health news of the weird
Is it just me, or has there been some strange health stories in the news lately?
Health reporters have provided quite a few entertaining stories during the last week or so. In case you’ve missed them, here are some of my favorites.
Feeding tube diets:
Brides-to-be are resorting to feeding tubes to drop a few pounds before their big day.
A plastic surgeon in Virginia launched the cleverly titled campaign after seeing patients who wanted a lift order to improve their appearance while appearing on video chats.
A New Zealand woman’s 2-gallon-a-day Coca-Cola habit contributed to her death.
Coughing up cancer:
A U.K. woman cured herself of throat and mouth cancer after a coughing fit dislodged the tumor in her throat. Seriously.
