Um, I'm Not Sure How To Describe These

Some gallery in New York has opened an exhibit featuring “classic” sports posters from the 1980s.

Is it just me, or do these seem more suited for the movie “Spartacus,” or maybe an ad for the Village People? Or, as a friend of mine said, “I keep picturing the volleyball scene from ‘Top Gun’ while Kenny Loggins sings ‘Playing With the Boys.’ “
