Baseball Proposal Is Revived
Not a lot of detail yet, but there may have been a breakthrough on the efforts to bring minor-league baseball to Vancouver. Stephanie Rice is reporting that a 30 percent funding gap might have been closed, according to county commissioner Steve Stuart.
From the story:
Stuart’s counterproposal left 30 percent to come from private investors.
For about two months, baseball proponents have been relatively quiet.
Stuart said baseball backers have been working hard to come up with the money.
“We have a fully funded and feasible community proposal,” Stuart said.
