Hail To Purple
With Ohio State and Oregon and Boise State and other college football programs in the cross-hairs of the NCAA, the Wall Street Journal did a story about which programs have never had major violations.
Northwestern is one of four schools from BCS conferences that have never had a major violation. Which gives us NU grads something to brag about. That and the 1995 Big Ten title. Oh, and Luke Donald. No violations, Big Ten title, Luke Donald. There, that’s what we have to brag about.
Boston College, Penn State, and Stanford are the other big schools with no major violations. Of course, we’re overlooking point-shaving scandals at Northwestern and Boston College. We’ll pretend those never happened.
