Local Athlete Hits The Big Time

Not sure whether there’s a bigger honor for a high school athlete. Sunday, a local competitor will be on the cover of Parade Magazine.

Camas soccer player Nick Palodichuk is not only a Parade All-American, he has been selected as the national player of the year. He will appear on the cover of Sunday’s edition, along with National Team star Landon Donovan and girls player of the year Morgan Brian.

In Friday’s paper, we’ll have a story about Palodichuk and the photo shoot with Donovan in Los Angeles.

According to Wikipedia (so you know it’s true!), Parade is the most widely read magazine in the United States and has a circulation of 32 million. It is included as part of The Columbian each Sunday.
