Civil War Lives Up To The Hype
EUGENE — There were roses. There were tears. There were pre-printed newspapers declaring, “Ducks to Rose Bowl.”
And as the postgame bedlam engulfed Autzen Stadium, there was the unmistakable feeling that the impossible had been achieved — that the game had matched the hype.
Oregon has made its reservations for Pasadena, but not before a down payment of a 37-33 victory over Oregon State, a contest that saw five lead changes and a host of could-have-turned-the-game-around moments.
