Student Art at Alcove Art Gallery

Alcove Art Gallery features artwork from 23 student artists from the four Ridgefield schools during the month of January in their Third Annual Student Art Show, ‘Focus on the Future.’

Art teachers from the four Ridgefield schools were invited to choose one student from each grade level to exhibit in the gallery’s show. A variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional student art will be on exhibit at the gallery from January 2 through January 26.

Each student will receive a certificate to commemorate the show. On first Friday, January 4, a reception honoring the participating students and their teachers will be held from 5 to 8 pm. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to visit the gallery and view the artwork.

Alcove Art Gallery was founded in 2009 by a group of local artists to bring works of art to Ridgefield. Gallery members contribute a portion of their sales to Neighbors Helping Neighbors and other local charities. Visitors are invited to leave a donation in the jar displayed at the check-out area.

The gallery is located at 328 Pioneer Street and is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 am. to 5 pm. For more information, visit www.alcoveartgallery.com or call 360-727-3088
