Tour the restored Rhidian Morgan vintage barn at Plas Newydd Farm during Ridgefield’s Heritage Day celebration on Saturday, September 8, at 3pm. This is an excellent time to visit this restored 132 year old barn, which is on the Washington State Heritage Barn Register. The barn is being restored through a grant from the Washington State Department of Archaeology in association with the Heritage Barn Advisory Board.
Plan to spend some time in Ridgefield before the tour as there will be all kinds of events going on that day. Displays of old-time artifacts will be featured at the Community Center, 210 North Main Avenue.
The tour is a fundraiser for Heritage Day, an annual event put on by a volunteer crew to celebrate Ridgefield’s historic beginnings. Cost of the tour is $20 and light refreshments will be served. Call Allene at 887-3596 to reserve a space. There is a limit of 25 people, and space will fill up fast, so call soon if you’re interested in seeing a restored antique barn.
