Ridgefield Refuge Awarded Grant

Vancouver Audubon awarded the Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge a $5000 grant to provide integrated environmental, science, historical and cultural learning to local school groups.

The grant will be paired with matching funds from the Friends’ fundraising efforts and will bring about 2500 students to the refuge that would otherwise not have the opportunity. This grant could support bus transportation for schools that want to attend the educational programs but cannot afford the high cost of buses.
