The 4th Annual Craft Beer & Winefest of Vancouver is this weekend and 2016 promises to be better than ever.
Three days of Washington-crafted beverages, outstanding music and local foods and businesses all set up in Vancouver’s unofficial living room—Esther Short Park—is what festival goers can look forward to from Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12.
Tickets include entrance, a commemorative glass, 10 tasting tickets and a weekend packed with 15 live bands. At $25 per person, the bargain becomes clear when you consider the wristband is good for all three days. Where else can you gain access to 15 different live concerts for $25?!

SW Washington wineries will be pouring alongside wineries from Walla Walla, Toledo, Tenino, White Salmon and Woodinville, giving wine lovers access to over 100 wines from around the State in one location (save gas and time).
With the growing local beer scene, this event has changed its name slightly and hop heads will appreciate the selection of over a dozen breweries as well as a Battle Ground-based cidery—TooleyBender—which is gaining in popularity at area restaurants.
Added to the 2016 festival is a Washington craft Bourbon tasting room with a lineup of six stellar offerings representing artisans from Seattle, Woodinville, Mt. Vernon, and Battle Ground’s very own Double V Distillery. In fact, John Vissotzky will be pouring a limited amount of his three year-old Bourbon barrel whiskey and when it’s gone, folks will have to wait for its official fall release to purchase their own supply.

The return of last years’ debut event —Beers, Bloodys and Blues—kicks into full gear on Sunday with five soulful bands providing hours of top notch entertainment. The locally-sourced Bloody Mary recipe will be a star attraction but is available all three days of the festival. Between sets, guest speaker Judy Bennett is slated to share 7 Ways Your Bloody Mary Can Make You A Hottie at 2:30 p.m. Sounds like the perfect time for some note-taking.
Always important to the craft beverage scene is giving back and The Craft Beer & Winefest is no exception. Prior to the festival, bins were set up all over Clark County in an effort to raise 10,000 pounds of food for Share House. These same bins will be set up at the entrance all three days. Bring a bag of unexpired, nonperishable food and receive three additional tasting tickets. Evergreen School District also benefits from a portion of ticket proceeds.
Toledo-based Bateaux Cellars won a Double Gold for their Muscato, a Gold for their Vilaine and a Bronze for their Cabernet Sauvignon. Taste for yourself at their booth this weekend. Viki Eierdam
With two dogs of my own, I love that The Craft Beer & Winefest is dog-friendly and Challenge and Baby Girl will be lapping from the IQ Credit Union-sponsored dog bowls just like they did last year. Keep an eye out for the white Aussies!
VIP tickets are also available as well as a limited number of VIP tables. Speaking of, more seating has been added this year although ticket holders are always welcome to bring lawn chairs and make a day of this 21 and over event.
