The clock is ticking and today is the last day to purchase tickets for Shorty’s Garden & Home Ladies Hawaiian Night.

This Thursday, August 11th Shorty’s is the place to beat the heat from 5-10 p.m. as the Mill Plain garden center transforms into a Polynesian paradise with 50 percent off all tropical plants, raffles, hula dancing and island music brought to you by Kaloku & The Krew.

Each $20 ticket includes a glass of wine and the glass as a souvenir. Adding to the festive atmosphere three local wineries will be pouring from a select lineup—English Estate Winery, Heisen House Vineyard and Olequa Cellars.

Hawaiian food will also be available for purchase courtesy of Ohana Concessions & Catering. Cursory inspection wine pairing ideas include Olequa Cellars 2015 Gewürztraminer with the Hawaiian bowl featuring grilled teriyaki chicken and pineapple, English Estate’s 2013 Pinot Noir with Kalua pork and Heisen House Vineyard’s peachy and buttery Chardonnay with Luau Chicken.

Reserve your ticket for this 21 and over event by stopping by Shorty’s TODAY or calling (360) 892-7880.

For more information, go to Shorty’s Garden & Home.

I am a Clark County native. I am Level 2 WSET (wine and spirit education trust)-certified and enjoy pairing wine with my passion for travel and fondness of food. My most prized possessions are the memories of places I've been with my husband, the chance encounters we've been blessed to have along the way and my carry-on bag. I can often be seen around town and in tasting rooms with our two beautiful, double-Merle Australian shepherds, Challenge and Baby Girl.
