2016 Tastes & Tunes features local craft beverages
This years’ Battle Ground Rotary Tastes & Tunes will be held at Alderbrook Park from 12 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 and the venue promises to be a great outing for all.
Pouring at the event will be Southwest Washington’s very own Emanar Cellars, Heisen House Vineyards, Moulton Falls Winery, Olequa Cellars and Rezabek Vineyards. Hop heads rejoice—Heathen Brewing and Ghost Runners Brewery will also be on hand to add to the selection of locally-crafted adult beverages.
Battle Ground Rotary supports a multitude of humanitarian projects as well as scholarships for local graduating seniors. Internationally, they partners with ShelterBox to drop these much-needed items (filled with a water filtration system, utensils and a stove to cook food on) around the world when there’s a catastrophic event. They also support Santa’s Posse which gives out helmets and bicycles, Thanksgiving and Christmas Giving Trees, partner with the North County Community Food Bank and sponsor highways cleanups and the ROCKSOLID Community Teen Center, to name a few.
Live music, food vendors, artist booths and more promise a fun-filled day in the park. Musicians include: Meltdown, Echoes of Yasgurs, Drop Dead Red and Amber Sweeney with her new band!
As if all this isn’t enough to tempt, attendees will enjoy the expansive 63-acre park setting with plenty of room for kids to run around and adults to spread out.
$15 advanced entry fee include five tasting tickets. For more information, go to www.battlegroundrotary.org.
