Wine, Dine & Design debuts at Wild Flour Café this Friday night
Add another Sip and Paint opportunity to the growing list of businesses merging art in a more social way. The Paint Roller – Mobile Paint Party stages events all over town for a range of ages.
According to owner, Kathy Dering, The Paint Roller has appeared at 54⁰40’ Brewing Company, The Eagles Club, Amnesia Brewing Company and multiple private parties.
This Friday, February 26 from 6-8:30 p.m. The Paint Roller will host its first Wine, Dine & Design night (a.k.a. Ladies Night) at Wild Flour Café in Washougal. Included in the $50 price are all art supplies, dinner, two glasses of wine, gratuity and a ‘pamper me’ package. The featured painting is Vino, a fun and colorful piece perfect to bring a splash of whimsy to any room in the house. There’s still room for what’s sure to be a terrific night of creativity, laughs and just some all-around great girl time.
The Paint Roller truly is for the most beginner of painters or just folks wanting to have a great social night without the stress of perfection. All renderings are pre-drawn on a 16”x 20” stretched canvas.
Connie and Bethani Higdon, the mother-daughter team of Wild Flour Café, specialize in a made-from-scratch, preservative-free menu. This Friday night a roast beef panini topped with provolone, caramelized onions and a secret homemade garlic spread with a variety of bread options will be available as well as tomato basil soup and salad with homemade dressing. For wine there’ll be a choice of house white or red.
Wine, Dine & Design nights are strictly 21 and older but The Paint Roller’s Brushes and Brew events are kid-friendly and Dering adapts the canvas for younger ages as needed or requested. At a recent 54⁰40’ gathering, The Paint Roller enjoyed their youngest artist to date. He was given a blank canvas which quickly became a masterpiece!
Canvas and Cupcakes children’s parties are also hosted at Wild Flour Café, Family Paint Nite at 54⁰40’ and Coupled Canvas parties at Amnesia and 54⁰40’—where the painting is completed in two halves and brought together to make one.
