Local Democrats to select chair next month
The Clark County Democrats plan to select a new chair next month.
The party will hold the nomination and election process at its July 12 meeting, Vice-Chair Shannon Meyers wrote Thursday in a Facebook post. Meyers will temporarily serve as chair until then.
Former Chair Mike Dalesandro announced last month that he would be stepping down, citing time constraints. The party’s executive board held an emergency meeting May 24 to discuss how to fill the vacancy.
Additionally, nominations and election for the party’s open secretary position will take place June 14.
